Possibility of war between India and pakistan , sudden cease fire and the fall out
*About possible war , our preparedness and fall out of war .*

We in the government service ,that too medical and health department, were put on high alert regarding the possibility of war between India and Pakistan.All our leaves were canceled with immediate effect except sick leaves.
We, the heads of department, were asked to ensure war preparedness since Visakhapatnam is an eastern naval command and high value target for the enemy .
We were asked to train our wards ,common people on 1) Blackouts , 2) evacuation, and 3) first aid. The blackouts were regularly carried out with siren alarm, and all lights were off, and only candles were allowed as part of the drill
Evacuation of patients is also critical, like running to cellars in the apartment or stuck in the building, staying under cots in the middle of the building, etc..
Lots of dressing material ,drugs, IV fluids, and a lot of beds in preparation were made ready on war footing.
There were also talks of covid like sanctions , abolition of fundamental rights , restriction of mobiles , we were also told to communicate on radio ,with walky talkies.
Everyone in the government was on high alert and was ready with bated breath and prepared for declaration of war.
The news of cease fire ( temporary?) is a relief and surprise , as we are on offensive and pushing ahead for justice, and we are gaining support internationally as well.
But not to be, is a big surprise . May be our leaders found a solution outside the war. War is never good. No one wins a war. As they say, Loser cries at the battlefield , and the winner cries at home. Two nations where poverty, illitaracy, ignorance, disease, high IMR , is still dominant, we can not afford a war, as it will push back years of progress.
Yet, we Indians ,are justified with all measures, including possible war against rogue nation like Pakistan, to seek justice.
I still feel , we are at advantage ,now that we know who are at our side and who are not. Pakistan as Rogue nation is exposed and shown its true colors to the world. I feel these are gains we made in this one week.
We, the government servants are always feel proud to be in the exercise and to be in the Frontline when, ever nation calls.
