Where do thoughts come from ?

Where Do Thoughts Come From?  Dr B.S.Chakravarthy 28/8/25. The question of the origin of thought has intrigued people across cultures, disciplines, and traditions. Scientists, philosophers, spiritual teachers, and seekers have all offered their answers—each shining light on one part of the mystery. Some describe thought in terms of quantum energy, as vibrations or bubbles of consciousness. In this view, thoughts are not fixed possessions but ripples that appear and vanish, much like clouds in the sky. Paying attention energizes them; ignoring them lets them fade. Meditation, then, becomes a way of conserving energy and quieting the restless tide of thought. Others see thought as a neurobiological process. The brain, shaped by DNA and life experiences, encodes and retrieves information like a vast and living computer. Memories, emotions, and perceptions combine, producing the patterns we call thoughts. Computational analogies—algorithms for storage and retrieval, subconscious...

National Women’s Equality Day 26th August

Breaking Chains, Building Bridges: A Story for National Women’s Equality Day Dr B.S.Chakravarthy  When little Sita was ten years old, she stood at the edge of her classroom, clutching her torn notebook. The boys had laughed when she answered questions too quickly, and her uncle had already whispered to her parents, “Why waste money on her studies? She will get married soon.” That evening, Sita sat beside her grandmother, who told her, “Child, knowledge is not just for boys. It is the fire that lights every human soul. Don’t let anyone blow out your flame.” Those words planted a seed of courage in her young heart. The Struggle Sita grew up in a small town in India where traditions were both comforting and confining. While she dreamed of becoming a doctor, she was constantly reminded of the invisible walls around her: Education was optional for girls. Some of her friends left school early to help at home. Dowry was considered natural. Her cousin’s marriage left the fam...

Reflection on illusion of birth and death and the Beauty of Manifestation

“We are not born, nor do we die — we simply manifest for a while, in countless forms.” A Reflection on the Illusion of Birth and Death, and the Beauty of Manifestation Author: Dr. B.S. Chakravarthy, MD (Paediatrics), 13/08/2025 Abstract Life is unpredictable, yet in its unpredictability lies a profound truth — we are neither truly born nor do we truly die. What we call ‘life’ is a brief manifestation of something eternal, appearing in countless forms and experiences. This realization is not easy to understand or experience because the mind is accustomed to perceiving life as a linear journey from birth to death. Yet, when awareness deepens, we see that all creation is interconnected, dynamic, and woven into a grand order. The only real control we have is over the clarity of this truth. Everything else unfolds as part of an ever-changing, interdependent manifestation. This reflection draws from Advaita philosophy, modern mindfulness, and personal contemplation, not as a resignation to f...

Why India is yet to reach developed nation status ,despite progress in GDP and health

Why India is Yet to Reach Developed Nation Status Despite Progress in Health and GDP Dr B.S.Chakravarthy  When we look at the data from developed nations such as the USA, UK, Japan, Canada, Germany, Italy, and France, one fact stands out clearly — their maternal and child health indicators are consistently in single digits. Japan has an MMR of 3, U5MR of 2.4, IMR of 2, and NMR of 1. Italy records an MMR of about 2, U5MR 2.8, IMR 2, and NMR 2. Germany has an MMR of 4, U5MR around 3.7, IMR 3, and NMR 2. France reports an MMR of 7, U5MR 4, IMR 3, and NMR 3. The United Kingdom shows an MMR close to 8, U5MR about 5, IMR around 3.6, and NMR 3. Canada records an MMR of 12, U5MR 5.1, IMR 4, and NMR 3. The United States has an MMR of about 17, U5MR 6.5, IMR 5, and NMR 3. India is aware of these differences and has worked consistently to improve its health sector, particularly since 2014. The maternal mortality ratio has improved from 130 to 88 per 100,000 births. The infant mortality ra...

How long should you meditate ! The honest truth about what meditation really is?

How Long Should You Meditate? The Honest Truth About What Meditation Really Is Dr B.S.Chakravarthy  Meditation is  not reserved for spiritual gurus or perfect conditions—it’s a simple, accessible tool to reconnect with the present. People often say meditation is a miracle. It reduces stress, improves focus, helps with sleep, and brings a sense of calm. But then they add a condition— “You have to sit for one hour a day, consistently, for at least 90 days.” And just like that, meditation becomes another item on your already overloaded to-do list—something you want to do, feel guilty for not doing, or worry you're doing wrong. There’s a lot of confusion around meditation because most of us don’t really know what it is. So let’s ask—what is meditation, really? It’s not mystical. It’s not reserved for monks or mountaintops. You don’t need incense, chants, or complicated rituals. Meditation is simply about attention. It’s the act of noticing where your mind is and gently...

Voyager 1: A whisper from edge of time

In the boundless silence of deep space, where light itself takes nearly a day to traverse the distance between sender and receiver, Voyager 1 continues its patient journey—unseen, unheard, yet not forgotten. Launched in 1977, this fragile emissary of human curiosity has now traveled over 25 billion kilometers from Earth, standing at a distance of about 23 light-hours. To put this in perspective, it is nearly six times farther than Pluto’s orbit and roughly 167 times the Earth-Sun distance. What keeps it going is not a powerful supercomputer or an AI brain, but a humble 69-kilobyte memory—less than what it takes to store a single low-resolution image on a mobile phone. Voyager 1’s original mission was simple and ambitious: to explore Jupiter and Saturn, capturing the grandeur of their moons, rings, magnetic fields, and atmospheres. Yet, as if pulled by some deeper intent coded into the universe, it ventured beyond its brief, crossing the heliopause in 2012 to become the first human...

AI can never replace Humans.find out why?!!

**Why the Idea of AI Replacing Humans Feels Hilarious to Me** Dr B.S.Chakravarthy  In recent times, we hear grand predictions about *singularity*—the idea that AI will one day surpass human intelligence and take control of civilization. Some view this as the peak of evolution. But to me, it’s a little hilarious. And here's why. Humans are not just individuals—they are the product of a collective legacy. Each generation carries forward not just knowledge, but *emotion, empathy, and meaning*. Newton’s gravity, Edison’s electricity, or the discovery of antibiotics weren't isolated strokes of brilliance. They were part of a human chain, inspired by curiosity, supported by love, and sustained by sacrifice. AI, on the other hand, is a remarkable tool—like a super-calculator. It takes inputs and delivers outputs. But it doesn’t understand *why* the input was given in the first place. It doesn’t know what it means to forgive a mistake, admire talent, or encourage someone struggling. It...
