  A TEACHER'S FAREWELL · 5 NOVEMBER 2026 సెలవు, నా పక్షి పిల్లల్లారా! వెయ్యి రోజులు... పదకొండు జీవితాలు... ఒక గురువు వీడ్కోలు నా ప్రియమైన NICU బ్యాచ్‌కు — ఎం.డి. పీడియాట్రిక్స్, 2023–2026 నా ప్రియమైన పదకొండు మందికి, చివరికి మనం ఈ రోజు దగ్గరకు వచ్చేశాం. వెయ్యి రోజుల క్రితం, పదకొండు మంది యువ వైద్యులు మన విభాగంలోకి అడుగుపెట్టారు. వైద్యవిద్యలో పట్టాలు ఉన్నా, బాలల వైద్యంలోని అపారమైన ప్రపంచాన్ని ఇంకా అన్వేషించాల్సిన యువకులు మీరు. ఈ రోజు, అదే పదకొండు మంది స్వతంత్ర బాలల వైద్యులుగా సమాజంలోకి అడుగుపెట్టడానికి సిద్ధంగా ఉన్నారు. మీరు ఇక్కడికి వచ్చింది పిల్లలు ఎలా పెరుగుతారో తెలుసుకోవడానికి. వారి శరీరాలు ఎలా మారతాయో, వారి మెదడు ఎలా వికసిస్తుందో, ఒక చిన్నారి జీవితంలో ప్రతి మైలురాయి ఎంత ముఖ్యమో నేర్చుకోవడానికి. కానీ మీకు బహుశా తెలియని విషయం ఒకటుంది. మీరు ఆ పిల్లల ఎదుగుదలను గమనిస్తున్నంతకాలం, నేను మీ ఎదుగుదలను గమనిస్తూనే ఉన్నాను. మైలురాయి తరువాత మైలురాయి. ఒక నవజాత శిశువు తొలి శ్వాసను, తొలి ఏడుపును, ఆ తరువాత వచ్చే తొలి చిరునవ్వును, తప్పటడుగులను మీరు చూశారు. కొందరు పిల...

A thousand days ago, eleven young doctors walked into our department. Today, eleven paediatricians are preparing to walk out. You came here to learn how children grow. Perhaps you never realised that, while you were watching those children grow, I was watching you grow too. Milestone by milestone. You learned to recognise the first breath of a newborn, the first cry, the first smile, the first steps. You saw children who achieved their milestones beautifully, and others who struggled to reach them. You saw tiny babies fighting for life, frightened parents waiting outside our ICUs, and families holding on to the smallest possibility of hope.
